Ronald Searle
I love the detail in his illustrations and his sparse use of colour to create atmosphere. I also like how in a lot of his work (more so in the piece shown below than in the one above) there is a clear humorous idea behind the illustrations.

Lucie Rie
Love the use of colour in the bowl below - slight metallic sheen combined with the vibrant green is a lovely effect.
I like the simplicity of her shapes and design - overall aesthetic effect is subtly beautiful.
Hans Coper
Similar reasons to Lucie Rie - shape and colouring - but he uses much earthier, more natural colours and his rough textures and colouring appeals to me.
Bernard Leach
Most of his work I didn't like, for example the plate below, because I find it boring and I don't really like his use of colour; the leaves on the plate below, for example, would (in my opinion) have looked better in a more foresty green - this colour looks washed out.
However, there were a couple of pieces where I liked his shape and range of tones -
I like the squared but still rounded and vaguely organic looking shape and patterns of these vases.
Grayson Perry
These figurative designs are beautiful and intricate. Love the use of colour and tone in the urn below - the gold highlights accentuate the deep shade of purple and hightlight his illustrative design.
I also love the multi layered, textured look of his designs and the way they tell stories, rather than just being a simple yet beautiful object.
The colours in the two urns above clearly reflect the mood of the pieces - particularly the left, entitled 'We've Found the Body of Your Child'. It is bleak and rendered in browns, greys and whites with subtle highlights, reflecting the despair and cold of the snowy landscape.
I liked the item below from the Queensberry Hunt page, but felt that the rest was a bit 'mass produced' looking and that these would perhaps look better in less contrasting colours.
